Meet the ‘Steaders

Welcome to the Homestead.  I guess I’ll use this opportunity to introduce all of us.  We are Catholic, strive to live as frugally as possible, and family time is our focus.  We also love beer.  We are learning the ropes of gardening, and also have chickens.

IMG_0160I am a mom, homemaker, homeschooler, and I also sell Lilla Rose hair jewelry.  I love all things crafty – sewing and quilting, writing, drawing, painting…

jacob for blogJacob is the hubby and head of the Homestead.  He is a lover of homebrew, his family, and cats.  Actually, nevermind on that last one…

DSCF6299Erin is the resident artist, master chicken-wrangler, and lego-builder extraordinaire.  And she likes dinosaurs.

DSCF6292Sebastian is the one who keeps us laughing – that kid has perfect comedic timing.  He is also a fan of forts and dirt, and a chicken-wrangler in training.

DSCF6306Isaiah is the adventurer, the boy without fear of bodily harm.  And he has the bruises to prove it.  He is also the most calculated with his endeavors, and incredibly compassionate.

DSCF6290Olivia is a mama’s girl.  She’s a fan of rolling across the floor, chewing on her toes, and being in her Beco.

Yeah. I got interrupted by either something furry or something squishy. 🙂

Yay! So happy to have a minute to stop by your awesome blog! I don’t know about you, but I’m still basking in the glow of the CWR conference. Hope to see you again at something similar!
